The 2nd Annual Coastal Bryan Tree Foundation Root Ball. What an awesome evening!

A video is worth a thousand words. Click below for a look at our 2006 event.

OK -- What is a "Root Ball"?

No one really takes credit for the name but someone thought it was kinda' catchy and now we're stuck with it. It's a wonderful outdoor party with live music, lots of food, drinks and some exciting silent auction items.
It's a celebration of the work of the volunteers of the Coastal Bryan Tree Foundation, the local organization responsible for the planting of nearly 200 Live Oak trees in and around Richmond Hill.
OK -- it's also our annual fund raiser event but we don't let that stand in the way of a good time!

What do I wear to a Root Ball?

The invitation says "dressy casual" and we think that pretty much sums it up. But last year one guest didn't want to take any chances. So, he wore his blue jeans (casual) and a tuxedo jacket (the dressy part). The event is outdoors but will be under a big tent on the bluff at Kilkenny.

I'm new to the area, where is Kilkenny?

We think Kilkenny is one of the most beautiful places on the Bryan County coast. It's where God goes to enjoy His creation.

You can get there by driving east on Georgia 144 from Richmond Hill. From the Intersection of U.S. 17 and GA 144, travel east thru Richmond Hill for 11.3 miles to Kilkenny Road. Turn left and travel 3 miles to the end of the road. Look to the left and you'll see our big white tent in front of The Shrimp Docks Restaurant.
